The start of something beautiful

This is the beginning....

I am the type of person who gets excited about things and then when they fall through or don't work out, it's a total bummer. You could say I'm a planner. Big time.
Recently I've started a new season in my life. For four years, I was a teacher. Scratch that, I am a teacher. I taught Kindergarten and LOVED it. The innocence of the first year of school, their love for school and love for just about everything else. Everything is exciting for a kinder, from new shoes to the butterfly on the window to their teacher's new hair style. That's what I love about kindergarten. That's what I loved. I never wanted it to be over...except in June, when it was time for a much needed break. They are so special-they are their own little community...I could go on, bottom line? I loved what I did. Then in May I felt like it was time for something different. I was involved in my church big time, helping with the youth and other odds and ends here there and everywhere. I'm newly married (I still think it's new after 2.5 years :) and family is very important to me. Oh, did I mention I'm finishing my Master's Degree? Needless to say, LIFE was BUSY. So in May, I gave my resignation where I taught, and decided to focus on ministry, working (volunteering) at church and my Master's. In August, through a series of events, I felt drawn to starting my own business (somewhat on the side of finishing school and ministry)...making sure not to get too busy.

So I started this adventure. The adventure of starting a business. The adventure of following what God has for me at this time in my life. I'm not going to say it wasn't loaded with fear or uncertainty, but I'm diving in full speed ahead, and so far I'm loving it!

So here are my thoughts, some photos,...really it could be anything! I guess that's what blogging is all about anyway right? :)

Thanks for coming on board. I'm really looking forward to what this develops into. :)
